Two arrested and charged for assault after Pokémon card altercation

Ottawa police charged two men after a fight over Pokémon cards in Barrhaven.
According to officials, they were called around 7:15 a.m. to a strip mall in the 4300 block of Standherd Drive. The reports indicated that there was an altercation happening over a high-demand item.
In an email to CityNews, police detailed that the altercation happened in a line for Pokémon cards. Two adult males suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Officials said they arrested and charged two suspects with assault.
“Friendly reminder: please be patient with others while shopping during sales and leading into the holidays,” police said.
