Cold wind sweeps out November with up to 10 cm of snow

Ottawa paramedics reported a “fairly active day” by late afternoon.
At about 2 p.m., paramedics and police were called to a single-car crash on Highway 174 between Old Montreal Road and Kinsella Drive. Paramedics reported the driver, a man in his 40s, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his neck and back.
The highway was briefly shut down to allow responders to work, but it has reopened.
The overnight low is expected to be about -6 C, with the wind chill feeling like -12.
The winds are expected to back off, but the wind chill is expected to hit about -14 Monday morning and -8 in the afternoon.
Environment Canada issued snowfall warnings for areas ranging from Belleville to the Laurentian Valley, saying 20 centimetres of snow was possible there.
